Mrs. Corliss Fisher
Dear Parents,
Melrose Lower Elementary opened for the first time on August 7, 2009. The school consists of seven Pre-Kindergarten classes, four Kindergarten classes, five First grade classes, five Second grade classes and 2 ESS classes. We presently have a total of 390 students. We will be housed at this location for approximately one year. We will then join our third, fourth and fifth grade students at Melrose Upper Elementary.
The staff of Melrose Lower Elementary School strives to offer your child a sound and basic educational program. Our primary goal is to improve student achievement through an effective school. Positive attitudes, open communication, parent involvement and participation are key elements for all who share in the educational processes.
We, teachers, parents, administrators and the community, must have a shared dedication to the ideal of excellence in our school and insure quality education for every student. Achieving this goal is never easy but is possible when we accept joint responsibility for the challenge of educational excellence. Remember, success at school begins at home.
A good line of communication is important in achieving goals. Please feel free to make an appointment to discuss any concerns you may have about your child's education. Every effort will be made to work with you in order to insure the best possible education for your child.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this school year.
Corliss Fisher
Associate Principal
